Eagle's Nest Wildlife Sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh is situated in the West Kameng District of the state. The sanctuary covering an area of 217 sq km, shelters various animals and birds. A variety of animals seen here are elephants, tigers, leopards, sambars, serows, gorals, red panda to name a few.
The vegetation is very rich and exhaustive. The lush green surroundings in the area is very impressive and breathtaking.
Journey to the Eagle's Nest Wildlife Sanctuary
Airport : The nearest airport is Tezpur which has a biweekly Indian Airlines flight to Kolkata. From
Tezpur (Assam) one can easily reach the sanctuary.
Railhead : The nearest railway head is at Bhalukpong. From here you can hire a bus or taxi to reach the sanctuary.
Road Transport
: The Sanctuary is connected by the Tawang - Tezpur road. There is regular bus and taxi service between Tawang / Itanagar and Tenga (Bomdila).
Staying near the Eagle's Nest Wildlife Sanctuary
Accommodation is existing at all the ranges. A Forest Rest House is available in Ramalingam and PWD Inspection Bunglows are available at Dedza (Jamiri) and Tenga.
