Pith Craft
and allied ability is part of a very old folklore along with Malakar or
Bhuimali communities in Assam. Pith Craft is also known by different
names such as Shola Pith and Kuhila Pith. Very light sponge wood that is
grown in marshy waterlogged areas is used to create beautiful handmade
Pith crafts.
