Chamunda Devi Temple (Chamba)
Another 20 km. from Kangra is the famous Chamund Nandikeshwar Dham. This place also has a beautiful bathing ghat and a small temple across the bridge joining the ghat. Up in the Dhauladhar hills, a trek of about 16 km. is the place where Bhagwati Chamunda, according to the puranas, vanquished the demons Chand and Mund
This is the place of Lord Shivanand Shakti, which is known as Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham. Situated on the banks of Banganga, this Sidhapeeth is a place where Saints and Priests pray amidst natural surroundings. This is the place where the Demons Chand and Mund came to conquer Devi Mahakali and in the fight that ensues, the Devi cut their heads and presented these to Maa Ambika, who in turn told Mahakali that you will be worshipped as Chamunda Devi.
Not far from Dharamsala (Kangra) is the famous temple to Chamunda Devi. It is an enchanting spot with glorious views of the mountains, the Baner Khud, Pathiar and Lahla forest
