Spicy Cabbage

Spicy Cabbage

Ingredients
Spicy Cabbage, Spicy Cabbage cuisine, Spicy Cabbage Recipe, Spicy Cabbage East India cuisine, Spicy Cabbage Dishes
  • 3 Tblsp Vegetable oil

  • 1/4 tsp chili powder

  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds

  • 4 cups cabbage, shredded

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • salt to taste

  • 1 fresh or pickled green chili, finely chopped

  • 2 tsp chopped chives

  • 3/4 cup water

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

  • Juice of 1 lime

Method

  • Heat oil and fry mustard seeds until they pop.

  • Put in onion and fry until light brown.

  • Add green chili, turmeric and chili powder, and fry for a minute.

  • Mix in cabbage, salt and chives; fry for 3 minutes, stirring well.

  • Add water and simmer about 7 minutes.

  • Add lime juice and mix thoroughly.

  • Serve hot with steamed rice.
