The Unique Phenomenon On January 14th /15th Every Year
Sri Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple close to Bangalore, is a natural monolith carved cave temple devoted to Lord Shiva. On the 14 / 15 January every year a ray of light passes precisely through the horns of the Nandi bull and illuminates the deity inside.
This exclusive phenomenon occurs each year on the Makar Sankranti day and attracts large number of devotees.
