This famous antique mosque in Kannur was built by a Muslim preacher Malik Iban Dinar in1124 AD and is located about 22 kms from Kannur town.
It is supposed that the marbles used to build this Mosque were brought from Mecca by its founder, who came to India to extend the word of the prophet. This mosque is one of the major attractions in Kannur. Madayi mosque is also one of the main Muslim pilgrimage destinations in Kerala.
