Parsvanath Temple
 The Exquisite Temple
(Built in circa AD 954, during the early part of Dhangadeva's reign) Of all the local Jain temples, the Parsvanath is the best conserved and in reality one of the premium temples of Khajuraho. On the basis of sculptural, architectural and inscriptional proof, the Parsvanath Temple, devoted to Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankar, appears to have been a close successor of the Lakshmana. While the Lakshmana was built by King Yasovarman, the Parsvanath was constructed by Pahila who was honored by King Dhanga, the son and successor of Yasovarman
Largest of the Jain Temples
Within the protected zone is the Parshvanatha temple, a medium-sized building compared to the western group. It is the largest of the Jain temples and has an image of Parshvanatha, a Jain Tirthankara in the sanctum.The Jain temple has been heavily renovated in this century. Some of the best known non-erotic sculptures of Khajuraho are found here, particularly the lovely sura-sundaris (celestial beauties) - one applying make-up and another removing a thorn from her feet on the southern façade and yet another tying on ankle-bells on the northern facade.
