Beach
The beaches at Daman (Devika Beach), a former Portuguese territory and now a Union Territory of India, is a beach that you must visit on your tour of beaches in Maharashtra for its Moti Daman Fort, Light House, Gandhi Park. Beaches at Silvasa and Vapi nearby can also be visited for their spectacular waterfronts.
Daman: A Portuguese colony till it was liberrated in 1961. Places of interest include Moti Daman Fort, light House, Gandhi Park & devika Beach.
Silvasa: Also situated in vicinity is this tiny, sleepy town, with lush green forests, large water front & a gorgeous kaleidoscope of flora & fauna. Sightseeing includes Bal Udyan- a children's park with a mini zoo, Tribal Museum etc.
