Khalasuni Wildlife Sanctuary
 Khalasuni's undulating topography ranging from 223 mt. to 750 mt. offers a wide fanging scenic beauty of wild virgin forests. Khalasuni wildlife sanctuary is situated in the Rairakhol sub-division of Sambalpur district.
It is at a distance of 50kms from Sambalpur. It covers an area of 116 sq.kms. The Tiger, leopard, elephant, bison, sambar, spotted deer, barking deer, mouse deer, wilddogs, rare range of birds and reptiles attract the tourists.
There are a variety of wildlife like tiger, leopard, elephant, gaur, sambar, spotted deer, barking deer, pea fowl, horn bill and number of reptilian species. It is a perfect place for nature lovers and tourists. |
