River Rafting or River running in
India is possible on many rivers mostly flowing down the foothills of
the Himalayas. There are various positions of rafting likely in a
country with so many fast flowing Himalayan Rivers. The landscapes,
flora, fauna and cultures which one discovers from the river give one a
really different point of view of exploration than those encountered
from the road. The best time of the year to connect in Manali trekking
is between the months of June and October. Trekking in Manali may be
cruel during the winter months due to the great chilly conditions and
snowfall.
Manali is also a stand for a variety of adventure
activities like River rafting, heli-skiing, paragliding
and many more. Manali also forms a gateway to upper Himalayas and inside
and more remote areas of Kinnaur, Lahaul and Spiti.
Manali is also starting point of the famous Manali Leh Highway. Water
rafting in Manali India is almost fully confined to the northern rivers
which flow southwards from the Himalayas, gushing between densely
forested mountains and through steep defiles.
