Dekara
 Dekaras are the clay images of
Gods and Goddesses, are meant solely for worship. The images made of Lord
Shiva on Kartik Sanskranti are known as Dekara. They are prepared using
clay mixed with colour. Then they are coloured with different hues to
make them attractive.
These images depict the marriage of Shiva with Parvati, the daughter of
Himalaya. |
